Fund KayKay's Fight for Life

Hi, my name is Karen Porter-McGibbon aka (KayKay). Dear family and friends if you haven't heard much from me or seen me in a minute here is why, back in 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. I am currently receiving medical treatment with Texas Oncology the Woodlands. Some unforeseen situation has come up my husband has lost his job, and I can no longer receive my chemo without funds, and we have run low I recently applied for my SSI and was denied because they did a non-medical review when I applied for a medical review. Go figure. So, I ended up getting a lawyer who is currently working on that for me.

Until then, I would like to ask for the assistance of my family, friends, and anyone that wants to help. Your help would be greatly appreciated. My husband is currently looking for a permanent and full-time job. I am not one to ask for anything as I know everyone works hard for their money, but only if you can help, PLEASE DO. We are now using cobra insurance (Which is very EXPENSIVE) until he gets a job as I cannot work due to my condition. One minute I'll up and the next I'm down. I have my good days and I have my bad days. I do chemo every other week and it really takes a toll on the body. I don't function like I use to.

I have had 3 surgeries to date. I have done what they call the Y-90 procedure where they go inside of the liver to project radiation to the liver that procedure had been done twice one to the right liver and one to the left liver and then I had to recently undergo a procedure where they removed a tumor the size of a football and took approximately 3 months to heal from that procedure and in the healing stage the tumor's begin to grow again. So, I had to come up with the money for cobra to continue living basically without chemo my tumors will continue to grow. My funds are depleted and we currently living with family (homeless) until things start to look up and they will be trusting and believing in GOD all the way.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read about little old (KAY KAY ) and how she's doing and to that I can say I'm trying to just hang in there until GOD see me through or calls me home either way, I'm good.
