Fund Kedar's Battle Against Rare Tumor

Hi, my name is Bhavana, I am fundraising for my brother Kedar. He is 28 years old. He came to Michigan USA in Dec 2021 for his Masters degree. Unfortunately just after a year he was admitted to Henry Ford Hospital due to severe pain in his abdomen. Kedar had gone through a surgery to remove desmoid tumor from his abdomen on Jan 2nd 2023. Due to large size and location of the tumor it damaged the right ureter, and now he has nephrostomy tube attached to his right kidney. In year 2023 he has gone through a lot of diagnosis procedures and everytime we have heard a bad news. Kedar has two cancer related genes mutation with which he has 80 to 100% chance of getting Colon Cancer along with risk for many other types of cancer. When the abdomen CT scan was done again in Aug 2023 there was a reoccurence of the same Desmoid tumor at multiple locations. This is a very rare type of tumor usually non cancerous, however for Kedar, as it reoccured and growing, it is considered now as malignant. Treating this desmoid tumor will be a priority now and then doctors have suggested to remove his colon and right kidney to avoid any further complications. Until now doctors have tried one medicine and a chemo therapy for the tumor but both have failed with tumor size increasing everytime. Now our hope is on the ongoing medicine which was approved in Nov 2023 by FDA to treat this rare type of tumor. Since more than a year now Kedar's health complications are affecting his daily life. To get this new medicine he must stay in the United States of America. Currently he is on student visa with no any job in hand.

We want him to concentrate on his health and not on the finances.
