Fund Louay Wadi's Family's Urgent Evacuation

Hi, I'm Caroline and I'm fundraising for my friend, Louay Wadi. Please read Louay's request in his own words:

I am Louay from Gaza. I am 25 years old. I am originally from Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, but we were displaced to Nuseirat camp in southern Gaza, which is currently a very unsafe place. Our house was damaged by the shelling and we were displaced through the dangerous corridor where the occupation used to live. We have been suffering from siege, shelling, hunger, and lack of water and electricity.

Our financial situation is very difficult. I lost my source of income more than 9 months ago. We have no jobs, and we are in desperate need of funds to evacuate Gaza. As you may know, evacuation to Egypt is expensive at a cost of $8,000 per person. I and 6 other family members listed below need to be evacuated:

The evacuation of 7 people will cost a total of $56,000. In addition, leading up to and after our evacuation, we need funds in order to purchase food and afford the basic costs of life. For this, we are setting our target at $82,000. This can be broken down as follows:


$56,000 for evacuation of all 7 family members.


$4,000 to cover our entire family's needs for food and necessities until we can evacuate.


$20,000 to house, feed, and clothe everyone once in Egypt, to keep us afloat until we are all able to regain stability as a family.

$2,000 for administrative fees and transfers

My brother Uday traveled from Turkey to Greece, risking himself to travel by sea because of the difficult situation in Gaza. Our current situation is very very hard. We suffer from lack of water and electricity. I want to get out of the hell we are living in and survive this genocide.
