Fund Lucia’s Surgery

Hello, my name is Lisa and pictured here is Lucia, the fierce but cuddly neighborhood tabby. She was recently injured by an oncoming car and left with a front paw that dangles limply. She needs surgery to repair the tendon, and cannot survive on her own until then.
A little backstory about Lucia - she is a ferocious but sweet little outdoor cat who is adored by everyone in the neighborhood. Lovingly nicknamed “mama cat”, she was mother to many of the cats in the neighborhood before a local rescue vetted and fixed her last year. After trying to get her used to indoor live, we finally agreed that she would be best as an outdoor cat where she is most happy. She’s been living on her own near an apartment complex on the Quinnipiac, coming to humans for meals every day, until recently we found her with a dangling and limp front left paw. I snatched her up and took her to the emergency vet, where we found that she has a broken ligament and needs surgery in order to go back to her life. Amputation is not an option because she cannot survive without a front paw outside, and we can’t bear to euthanize her because she has a lot of life left to live.
Please help save this little girl by donating whatever you can.
