Fund Mary Kathryn's Journey to KU Leuven

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
My name is Mary Kathryn Stevens and I am reaching out to you with a hopeful heart and a sincere request for support. I have been given a unique opportunity to complete an abridged one-year Bachelor's Degree program in Theology and Religious Studies at the prestigious Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. This program is a dream come true for me, but I need your help to make it a reality.
My Journey
For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about social justice and the intersection of politics and religion. This passion has driven me to explore the depths of various religious traditions, understand their impact on societies, and seek ways to foster interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding. After years of dedication, I have been accepted into KU Leuven's renowned Theology program, which is ranked among the best in the world.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) last year and that prompted me to take charge of my life to make sure that I can do as much as possible while my body is still able. I refuse to let my diagnosis control my future and I will take every opportunity possible to reach my goals and make my dreams a reality.
Why KU Leuven?
KU Leuven offers an unparalleled academic environment with world-class faculty, a rich history of theological scholarship, and a diverse student body. The university's focus on research and critical thinking aligns perfectly with my academic and career aspirations. Completing this degree will not only provide me with advanced knowledge but also open doors to future opportunities in academia, ministry, and community service before I am admitted to the Master of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion program. For more information, I invite you to please visit their website at https://theo.kuleuven.be/en.
Financial Challenge
Despite being accepted into this exceptional program, I am facing significant financial challenges. The total cost of tuition, accommodation, books, and living expenses for one year amounts to approximately $30,000. As an international student in this bachelor's program, I am not eligible for many forms of financial aid or scholarships, making it incredibly difficult to cover these expenses on my own.
How You Can Help
I am seeking to raise $20,000 to cover my tuition and essential living expenses for the duration of the program. Your generous contributions will directly support:

Tuition Fees: $1,550
Accommodation: $12,500
Books, Laptop, and Study Materials: $1,500
Living Expenses (food, transportation, etc.): $10,000

Your Impact
Every donation, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to achieving my goal. By supporting my education, you are investing in a future where I can contribute to theological scholarship, promote interfaith dialogue, and serve communities with greater knowledge and compassion. I promise to dedicate myself fully to my studies and make the most of this incredible opportunity.
Gratitude
I am deeply grateful for any support you can provide. Whether it is through a donation or by sharing this campaign with others, your help means the world to me. I will keep all my supporters updated on my progress and experiences throughout my time at KU Leuven.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and for being part of this journey. Together, we can make this dream a reality.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Mary Kathryn Stevens
