Funding for Seer School 2024

Hi! I pray all is well. I'm John, a soon-to-be geography graduate, and I have the opportunity to spend 3 weeks in August over on the West coast of Scotland as part of the Seer School, held in Ardnamurchan.

After chatting with Howard and Charlotte, who run the program, I learned a lot about what this entails. Alongside 7 other students, I'll experience the glory of God and understand the sacramental life of the church. I'll also have the opportunity to develop the gifts that the holy spirit gives us, focusing more on the revelatory gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, prophecy and discernment of spirits.

Having heard a lot from God in the last few weeks, this feels like the right move to allow me to fully slow down and confide in him as I seek where he is calling me during this transition period. I'm excited to develop these spiritual practices and dive back into theology (which I took some elective classes on in first and second year in University) while enjoying the outdoors and working on the land.

I am now looking to raise the final sum of money to attend in August. I have been blessed so far with funding from my family and my church back home, but as graduation is upcoming and currently job hunting, finding the rest has been challenging. The fundraiser will cover the remaining cost of the school, including accommodation and food.

I rarely find myself in this position, but if you feel led to contribute, I would be truly blessed and hope to return the favour someday. Prayers for peace and clarity about my future are also greatly appreciated!
