Fund Mike's recovery from testicular cancer

Maybe we do need to go higher with the goal. I guess it will all depend on the chemo plan.

UPDATE: You all are amazing and we can cover all medical expenses in 2023. I increased the goal to allow Mike to take up to one month off of work (likely intermittently) without a financial hit to the family. Everyone is telling me to go $15,000 or $20,000 but I just can't picture that. Right now we are in a much better spot than I imagined when he was first diagnosed. Your help is beautiful.

Mike was diagnosed with testicular cancer in May of 2023 after discovering something in March 2023. Just the journey to finding a doctor proved how incompetent the American healthcare system is. We were lucky and the surgery happened after we stopped having to pay for preschool (the kids enter public school in the fall) but that extra money doesn't actually cover the cost of everything. We are grateful for Mike's insurance and we are grateful he can use that insurance at City of Hope but the expenses are numerous and his deductible and out of pocket are high. We don't even know the cost of chemo yet, so honestly that amount I listed might not even be close enough. But every dollar helps. I hate asking for funds and he does too, but we would hate to go into debt way more.
