Fund my Young Artist Program in Europe!
Donation protected
Hi, I am Ruby Abreu and I am fundraising to attend my first Young Artist Program in Europe!
I have been accepted to join the 22nd Annual Varna International Music Academy in Bulgaria and Italy on May 10-June 5, 2023. The program will take place along the breathtaking shores of the Black Sea in the City of Varna, Bulgaria & in the beautiful region of Northern Italy.
I will be making my European debut as the Alto soloist in the Mozart Requiem and covering the Abbess and Monitoress in Suor Angelica.
Through the program I will:
- Gain exposure to different cultures and musical styles, which can broaden my perspective as a musician.
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the industry.
- In addition to performing in a full-staged production with an orchestra, I will participate in masterclasses, voice lessons, vocal coaching, and more!
As a Latina, first-generation college graduate, I am incredibly excited to attend but also understand the financial responsibilities this entails.
Help fund an unforgettable summer and a lifetime of learning.
Funds will cover:
Program costs ($4000)
Flight costs ($2000)
From There to Back Again:
I performed my first-ever recital on March 10, 2023, called From There to Back Again, centered around the idea of circular patterns in life and love. You can watch my recital here and view my program book here. If you enjoyed what you saw, I would invite you to consider donating to fund this amazing trip.
