Nelson David's Funeral Service
Donation protected
My dad, Nelson David, passed away at the age of 58 on August 27 after a 20 year battle with diabetes. Earlier this month, he suffered a heart attack but was able to go home. Three weeks later, he suffered another heart attack. The nurses and doctors had to do a CPR and were able to revive him. Unfortunately, it had caused extreme complications and his health started to rapidly decline within a week.
My Dad was famous for his charming personality. He was popular due to his contagious lightheartedness. He had a tendency to crack up even the corniest jokes at the most serious moments just to make everyone laugh. He didn't like it when someone feel or even look miserable.
My father strongly believed in nurturing children at an early age. My dad's true calling was to serve God by teaching children to serve him. He served as a children's pastor for Church On The Rock for almost a decade, a local church in our hometown in the Phillipines. There, he met my mother and after my Dad charmed my mom's family, they finally get married.
As a family man, he did everything to provide for me and my mom. While my mom was pregnant with me, he decided to migrate to the US so he could give us a better life. He ended up working two jobs to make ends meet. My mom and I got to follow him to the US after 11 years. For better or for worse, they depended and supported each other. They were the true definition of true love.
He was the husband, father, son, brother, mentor, and friend. My dad will be missed by everyone. Please, consider donating for the best funeral we can give to my dad. Let's celebrate his life and legacy. He lived a short life but a meaningful and joyful one.
