Help us raise money for Rosebank School

I’m Richard and I’m running the Manchester Marathon on 27th April 2025 to help raise money for Rosebank School. My son, Jacob, is autistic and goes to an incredible school for autistic children, called Rosebank. We are so grateful that Jacob has a place at such a nurturing, kind, and exceptional school. That being said - money is always incredibly tight and there are so many things the school needs but cannot afford. I'm running the Manchester Marathon to help raise as much money as possible.

The school’s biggest piece of outdoor equipment, a 30 year old climbing frame, has become out of action and isn’t safe for the children to use anymore. The cost of removing and replacing it, even with something basic, will be tens of thousands of pounds, and Rosebank simply can’t afford this on their own. Parents and Grandparents of the pupils have been fundraising towards a replacement, but there’s still a big gap to close. I am hoping that I can raise as much money as possible to help contribute, so needed to do something bold. The dream is to build a pirate ship!

Playing outside on climbing equipment is so important to an autistic child’s regulation, gross motor and imaginative play skills, so I hope the money I raise will be making the Pirate Ship dream a reality for Jacob and all the other amazing kids at Rosebank.

Waving Jakey off in the morning knowing he will be developing his skills and having lots of fun on his break and lunchtime will be such a great feeling for us and all the other parents.
