Fund our bus to protest Facebook!

Let's send San Francisco-based activists to the Save Our Democracy: Protest Facebook event on January 9th! Our donations will pay for a bus that leaves from Civic Center and arrives at the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park.
In an effort to safeguard the 2020 election, concerned Facebook users have joined forces with media advocacy organizations, human rights groups and corporate campaigners to demand Facebook changes its ways. We want Facebook to prevent its platform from being used to spread disinformation and divisiveness that could jeopardize the integrity of the election.
On January 9th, we will be protesting outside of Facebook’s headquarters, “blacking out” our Facebook cover photos, and making plans to target Facebook advertisers. Our call to action says, “This year’s US presidential elections are in jeopardy—in part because San Francisco Bay Area technology company Facebook refuses to take responsibility for the lies, hate, and disinformation that are being spread using its platform.”
The event is endorsed by more than a dozen Bay Area and national organizations, including Media Alliance, Global Exchange, MediaJustice, CODEPINK, Free Press Action, SumOfUs, CREDO Action, Indivisible San Francisco, Indivisible SF Peninsula/CA-14, Indivisible Healdsburg, FacebookBlackout2020.com, RYSE, Vigil for Democracy, Coastside United for Action, Courage Campaign, Raging Grannies Action League, Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
Please chip in to help San Francisco activists get on the bus to Menlo Park. Your donations will go to Media Alliance, which is a 501C3. Thank you!
