Fund Palestinian-Led Education for Justice - Mada al-Carmel

Hi, my name is Nasser and I'm fundraising for the incredible people behind Mada al-Carmel.

I'm currently based in Canada. I'm a former academic and someone who has worked with several nonprofits in Palestine.

I know Mada through past collaborations and I've come to really cherish their work - which is so important in this age of disinformation and anti-Palestinian sentiment.

Mada turns 25 this year! And while it's received support from several generous donors in the past, that support has all been from foundations - very little was raised from individuals like you and me.

So we're cranking up our crowdfunding efforts to help support a Palestinian-led research hub that is decolonizing knowledge, and putting that knowledge to work, towards a goal we all care deeply about - and that is justice, liberation and freedom in Palestine.

Mada has recently launched its 'Know Justice' campaign that aims to raise money to support the crucial work they do.

The funds will be used by Mada's leaders - Dr. Areen Hawari and Dr. Himmat Zoubi and Dr. Mtanes Shehadeh - towards:

1. Mentoring Future Scholars – Supporting young Palestinian researchers to shape political, social, and cultural discourse.

2. Research for Change – Tackling social issues and countering settler-colonial narratives through critical policy work.

3. Expanding Global Awareness – Advancing critical studies on Israel and strengthening Arab scholarly collaboration worldwide.

4. Amplifying Palestinian Voices – Engaging wider audiences through digital outreach and media campaigns.

5. 25 Years of Impact – Showcasing Mada’s legacy with accessible publications in Arabic and English.

Mada is currently located in Haifa, and they will receive the funds by bank transfer.
