Fund raiser for Billy Gallagher

In February of 2023 Billy was diagnosed with lung cancer in his left lung. At the same time he could no longer work due to the pain and his struggles with breathing. He received an extension of medical benefits for 90 days. He did not receive any financial compensation. The medical benefits expire in Mid May. Essentially the company cut ties and he has been struggling with health and finances since then.

With no income he has tried to survive on SSI. His existing bills and the new medical bills are overwhelming.  His health plan only covers so much. He needs help from family and friends.

Billy always put other people’s interests ahead of himself. And he wouldn’t ask for anything unless he really needed it. But he needs it now and I’m asking for him.

His cancer has spread throughout him and it’s terminal. He leaves behind his wife and they have personal and medical expenses that they are unable to meet. He will have some funeral expenses as well. That’s why I am reaching out for any help you can provide. Regardless of the donation, all of it will help.

The donations are secure through GoFund Me. All donations to directly to a bank account. I don’t touch any Donations nor do I want to.

The Go Fund Me requires a goal. I really don’t know what that goal is so I am listing a nominal amount. Whatever we can raise that’ll be great.

He doesn’t know I am doing this because his pride would not allow it.  However the Go Fund Me account looks like he’s asking for help directly.  He’s not asking; I am.  If you know Billy, no further explanation is needed.

Please reflect on your time with Billy and please consider helping him with a cash donation. This needs to happen quickly because of his condition. Please give what you can.
