Fund Ritman's Life-Saving Cancer Treatments

Përshëndetje, unë jam Rina Karaqi. Unë jam motra e Ritman Coli-it. Vëllai im pati një aksident teksa luante futboll vitin e kaluar. Të nesërmen ai shkoi te mjeku dhe rëntgeni tregoi një frakturë në brinjë. Mjeku tha se i duhej vetëm kohë për t'u shëruar. Megjithatë, në janar 2024, ai kishte një nyje limfatike shumë të zmadhuar në qafë dhe dhimbje në brinjë, kështu që shkoi te mjeku, ku filluan testet diagnostike, të cilat fillimisht përfshinin një skanim me ultratinguj dhe më pas radiografi, duke identifikuar hije pas një brinji të tij. Vëllai im është vetëm 43 vjeç. Ai është i martuar dhe ka tre fëmijë 13, 12 dhe 7 vjeç. Të gjithë djemtë që kanë nevojë për babanë e tyre. Gruaja dhe fëmijët e tij janë të shkatërruar, si dhe e gjithë familja jonë.

Ne kemi nevojë urgjente për ndihmën e secilit prej jush në mënyrë që të mund të bëjmë gjithçka në fuqinë tonë për të shpëtuar jetën e tij dhe për t'i dhënë atij mundësinë për t'i mbijetuar këtij kanceri të tmerrshëm dhe për të qëndruar këtu, me familjen e tij.

Vëllai im është në ciklin e katërt të kimioterapisë. Çdo cikël përfshin 4 trajtime për një periudhë 2-javore dhe një javë pa trajtim për një pushim para fillimit të ciklit të ardhshëm. Ai nuk ka mundur të punojë që nga janari 2024, ku ka punuar si infermier në urgjencën e qendrës komunale për mjekësi familjare „Nënë Tereza“ në Klinë në Kosovë.

Pak para se të fillonte kimioterapinë në Kosovë, babai ynë e dërgoi në Zagreb, Kroaci për një opinion të dytë dhe rekomandime për protokollin e trajtimit. Ai erdhi në shtëpi dhe filloi menjëherë kimioterapinë. Ata shpjeguan se një pjesë e trajtimit të kërkuar pas kimioterapisë do të përfshinte një transplant të qelizave staminale dhe ndoshta një transplant të palcës kockore.

Ne e dimë se është shumë për të kërkuar, por nëse vetëm 60 njerëz mund të dhurojnë 1000 dollarë secili, ne mund të jemi të përgatitur për të filluar këto trajtime mjekësore që shpëtojnë jetën menjëherë sipas porosisë.

Këto trajtime nuk janë të disponueshme në Kosovë. Për shkak të diagnozës specifike, familja ime duhej të kërkonte kujdes mjekësor jashtë vendit ku ai është i disponueshëm. Mjekët në Kroaci kanë kërkuar që ai të kthehet pas dy javësh nga sot (13 maj 2024) për t'u shtruar në spital dhe për të filluar trajtimin e nevojshëm.

Ai duhet t'i nënshtrohet këtyre trajtimeve për të pasur një shans për të jetuar dhe mbijetuar dhe për të mbetur pjesë e jetës së gruas dhe fëmijëve të tij. Pa trajtim nuk ka asnjë shans.

Kostoja e mjekimit është një gjë, por ka edhe humbje të të ardhurave nga puna, e cila ndikon në jetesën e familjes. Që nga janari i këtij viti ata kanë bërë tre herë udhëtimin drejt Kroacisë. Kur të kthehet në Kroaci pas disa javësh, nuk e dinë se sa do t'i duhet të qëndrojë atje dhe të ndahet nga familja.

Hello, this is Rina Karaqi. I am the sister of Ritman Coli. My brother had an accident playing soccer last year. He went to the doctor the next day and the x-ray showed a fracture in his ribs. The doctor said he just needed time to heal. However, in January of this year 2024 he had a very enlarged lymph node on his neck, and pain in his ribs, so he went to the doctor where they started diagnostic testing, which first included an ultrasound, and then progressed to a x-ray which identified shadowing behind his ribs. Next they ordered a CAT scan, which identified a swollen lymph node in the same region of his ribs. This led to a biopsy of the lymph node in his neck as well as the lymph node near the ribs.

Our family then received the horrible news that my brother has two forms of cancer: Multiple Myeloma & Malignant Plasmacytic neoplasms Myeloma IGA Kappa.

My brother is only 43 years old. He is a married man with three children ages 13, 12 and 7 years old. All sons who need their father. His wife and children are devastated as is our whole family.

We desperately need each and every one of you to help so we can do everything in our power to try to save his life and give him the chance to survive this horrible disease of cancer and remain here on earth with his family.

My brother is in his 4th cycle of chemotherapy. Each cycle includes 4 treatments in a 2 week period and 1 week off of treatment for a break before beginning the next cycle. He has not been able to work since January 2024 where he was an employee in the emergency room as a technician for the local hospital in Klina in Kosovo, QKMF Nena Teresa Hospital.

Just before beginning his chemotherapy regimen in Kosovo, my father took him to Zagreb Croatia for a second opinion and the treatment protocol recommendations. He came home and immediately began the chemotherapy. They explained that part of the treatment needed after the chemotherapy would include stem cell transplant, and possibly bone marrow transplant.

We know it is asking a lot, but if just 60 people can donate $1000 each we can begin to be prepared to start these life-saving medical treatments immediately as ordered.

These treatments are not available in Kosovo. As a result of the specific diagnosis, my family has had to seek medical care outside the country where it is available. The doctors in Croatia have requested that he return in 2 weeks from today (May 13, 2024) to be admitted to the hospital to start down the path of the treatment necessary.

He must have these treatments to have the chance to live and survive and remain part of his wife and children's lives. Without treatment there is no chance.

The cost of treatment is one thing, but there's also the loss of his work income, which is affecting his families livelihood. They have made the trip to Croatia 3 times so far since January of this year. When he returns to Croatia in a couple of weeks, they don't know how long he will need to stay and be separated from his family.

Hallo, hier ist Rina Karaqi. Ich bin die Schwester von Ritman Coli. Mein Bruder hatte letztes Jahr einen Unfall beim Fußballspielen. Am nächsten Tag ging er zum Arzt und das Röntgenbild zeigte einen Bruch seiner Rippen. Der Arzt sagte, es bräuchte nur Zeit, um zu heilen. Im Januar 2024 hatte er jedoch einen sehr vergrößerten Lymphknoten an seinem Hals und Schmerzen in den Rippen, also ging er zum Arzt, wo mit diagnostischen Tests begonnen wurde, die zunächst eine Ultraschalluntersuchung und dann Röntgenaufnahmen umfassten, wobei Schatten hinter seinen Rippen identifiziert wurden. Als nächstes ordneten sie eine Computertomographie an, bei der ein geschwollener Lymphknoten in derselben Region seiner Rippen festgestellt wurde. Dies führte zu einer Biopsie des Lymphknotens in seinem Nacken sowie des Lymphknotens in der Nähe der Rippen.

Unsere Familie erhielt dann die schreckliche Nachricht, dass mein Bruder zwei Formen von Krebs hat: Multiples Myelom und bösartige plasmazytäre Neoplasien, Myelom IGA Kappa.

Mein Bruder ist erst 43 Jahre alt. Er ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder im Alter von 13, 12 und 7 Jahren. Alle Söhne, die ihren Vater brauchen. Seine Frau und seine Kinder sind am Boden zerstört, ebenso wie unsere ganze Familie.

Wir brauchen dringend die Hilfe jedes Einzelnen von Ihnen, damit wir alles in unserer Macht stehende tun können, um zu versuchen, sein Leben zu retten und ihm die Chance zu geben, diese schreckliche Krebserkrankung zu überleben und bei seiner Familie zu bleiben.

Mein Bruder befindet sich im vierten Zyklus einer Chemotherapie. Jeder Zyklus umfasst 4 Behandlungen in einem Zeitraum von 2 Wochen und eine behandlungsfreie Woche für eine Pause vor Beginn des nächsten Zyklus. Er kann seit Januar 2024 nicht mehr arbeiten, wo er als Krankenpfleger in der Notaufnahme des örtlichen Krankenhauses in Klina im Kosovo, der „Mutter-Teresa-Ambulanz“ tätig war.

Kurz bevor er seine Chemotherapie im Kosovo begann, brachte ihn unser Vater nach Zagreb, Kroatien, um eine zweite Meinung und Empfehlungen für das Behandlungsprotokoll einzuholen. Er kam nach Hause und begann sofort mit der Chemotherapie. Sie erklärten, dass ein Teil der nach der Chemotherapie erforderlichen Behandlung eine Stammzelltransplantation und möglicherweise eine Knochenmarktransplantation umfassen würde.

Wir wissen, dass das viel verlangt ist, aber wenn nur 60 Menschen jeweils 1.000 US-Dollar spenden können, können wir darauf vorbereitet sein, sofort wie angeordnet mit diesen lebensrettenden medizinischen Behandlungen zu beginnen.

Diese Behandlungen sind im Kosovo nicht verfügbar. Aufgrund der spezifischen Diagnose musste meine Familie medizinische Hilfe außerhalb des Landes in Anspruch nehmen, in dem sie verfügbar ist. Die Ärzte in Kroatien haben darum gebeten, dass er in zwei Wochen ab heute (13. Mai 2024) zurückkehrt, um ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert zu werden und mit der notwendigen Behandlung zu beginnen.

Er muss sich diesen Behandlungen unterziehen, um eine Chance zu haben zu leben und zu überleben und Teil des Lebens seiner Frau und seiner Kinder zu bleiben. Ohne Behandlung gibt es keine Chance.

Die Behandlungskosten sind eine Sache, aber es gibt auch den Verlust seines Arbeitseinkommens, der den Lebensunterhalt seiner Familie beeinträchtigt. Seit Januar dieses Jahres haben sie die Reise nach Kroatien bisher dreimal unternommen. Als er in ein paar Wochen nach Kroatien zurückkehrt, wissen sie nicht, wie lange er dort bleiben und von seiner Familie getrennt werden muss.
