Fund Robin's Suburban Swim Spa Therapy

Hi, my name is Robin and I am an autistic woman who lives in Devon, England. I have moderate asthma which has worsened since I had a bout of COVID in 2022 and the smog/pollution in our atmosphere has increased. Because of my health conditions I find it difficult to get sufficient exercise and many forms of exercise are unsuitable for me as they impact my breathing too much. I am also unable to take part in high-impact activities due to muscular weakness following a fall several years ago and am struggling with the impact of the menopause on my joints and respiratory health.

One thing I am able to do – and enjoy very much – is swimming and I try and swim in the sea around the Devon coastline as much as possible when the water is warm enough. I find it difficult to use public pools due to my social anxiety and they are usually too busy outside my usual working hours.

I hope to raise enough money through this Go Fund Me to install a swim spa in my garage (like the one in the picture above from Hydropool Devon, which I wet-tested recently in their Kingkerswell showroom) which would allow for year round use and would help to keep my overall health in as good a position as possible.
