Just a few days ago, I was notified that I've been accepted into an art residency/internship program through Jan Ernst Studio (learn more here: https://www.jan-ernst.com/), based in Cape Town, South Africa. Being that the residency begins in just two weeks (running from June 3rd to July10), I am suddenly in a position where I've got quite a bit of expenses to cover, plus making sure I can maintain my normal expenses while abroad. Since this a a self-funded and unpaid residency, I am hoping to raise the funds to make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality!

Funds will be used specifically for covering travel costs, accommodations, basic needs(food/basic necessities), and for helping to cover bills during my unpaid leave from work.

The residency provides emerging artists with an opportunity to be an integral part of the Jan Ernst team, gaining hands-on experience in high-concept design, photography and product development. As an emerging artist, this opportunity would provide me with the much needed experience of gaining a broader and more global audience, while collaborating and building connections with well established leaders of the art world. Jan Ernst is a world renowned artist whose work can be found featured in Architectural Digest Magazine and in galleries all over the world.
