Fund SkillsUSA Contestant Registration - Harmony D

My name is Harmony & I’m a student here in Ramona @ RHS. Many of you probably have heard or seen me around town with my small business “Warm Delights” at the craft fairs & may have bought a few sweets from me! I created “Warm Delights” in 2022 & have been persistent in expanding my business as well as my knowledge & skills regarding Baking & Pastry Arts & the community has helped me do just that! I was encouraged to enter a competition in 2023 for “The Greatest Baker” title & not only won second place in the nation but raised over $50,000 for the B+ foundation. Through that contest I got not one, but two magazine publications with my story & baked goods in it. I also was included in our very own Ramona Sentinel twice representing not only “Warm Delights”, but Ramona High as well!

In January of 2024, I entered a competition at Ramona High that is through SkillsUSA where I sent in a video of my safety & sanitation procedures & my execution of baking recipes that I was given by the SkillsUSA administration. I had to demonstrate general knowledge of baking & how to prepare baked goods safely. I placed first in the SoCal Region & will now be going to Ontario, California where I will bake in front of multiple judges to see if I can make it to nationals. If I move on to nationals I could potentially get a scholarship or a job offer right after the competition! This is a really huge opportunity & the only thing holding me back is finances. I live on my own & make money by selling my baked goods & unfortunately won’t have enough to cover the expenses for the registration fee of $225 as well as the proper attire (Specific Shoes & Jackets Mainly) so I can compete in the competition without getting disqualified.

This is where I’m asking for your support. I’m looking to raise $300 for supplies & the registration fee so I can take advantage of this opportunity & prepare myself for the future the best that I can. I’ll be leaving for the competition here on April 4th & have to turn in the registration fee ASAP.
