Help fund equipment for Volunteer Wildlife Rescuers

We are Bannockburn Wildlife Rescue!

Bannockburn Wildlife Rescue is a group of volunteers who help sick, injured or orphaned wildlife locally.

We have volunteers in Bannockburn, Teesdale, Lethbridge, She Oaks, Maude, Anakie just to name a few.

We are a small group of 16 volunteers at the moment. We travel hundreds of kms a week, checking/moving/marking deceased wildlife, transporting injured wildlife to the vet, orphaned wildlife to carers, as well as travelling to euthanize macropods on-site.

As volunteers this all comes out of our pockets unless we receive donations. Gloves, Spray, Torches, Petrol etc.

We are looking at getting Custom Printed Vests to keep our team safe, Core Flute Signs (to use on local roads to raise awareness of "Hot Spots"), Rescue equipment such as fishing nets, throw netting, hunting torches, thermal monocular, and eventually tranquiliser equipment.

Taking this opportunity to also mention how important it is to call a local rescue if you see wildlife that needs help. Even if you see Macropods (Kangaroos/Wallabys) jump off "OK" after being hit by a car, most times they will have injuries that require attention. Please make that all important phone call
