Swim for Dave: Raising Awareness Against Encephalitis

Hi my names Hollie
As many of you are aware my
Hero my Amazing Dad
David Fisher passed away on the 11th November 2023.

My dad died from an awful condition called Encephalitis. Something I and many others had no idea about until we were faced with the dreaded news.

My dad as many of you know was a fighter and never liked to give up. But unfortunately after 3 months of continuous battling he tragically passed away.

Now as I am sure that the people who knew my dad knew he was a competitor and always wanted to win! And of course he swam for TEAM GB

And for those of you that know me know I couldn’t be any different to my dad and hate the idea of keeping fit.

So to prove to myself and to do something to make my dad proud I am going to be swimming 20 lengths a day for 49 days.

This is going to be a challenge but it’s all going to be worth it as on the 49th day it will fall on the 11th of November. (All by fate which I am taking as a very big sign)

I really hope you can help me raise money for this charity to try and raise more awareness of this awful condition and to help survivors and families affected by this awful condition so others don’t have to go through what my Dad and my family had to.

Thank you so much ❤️
