Help Build the First Masjid In Keur Madiop Village

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Brothers and Sisters. I share with you a project of a lifetime. In a small, underprivileged, and underresourced region of Saint-Louis, Senegal lies the village of Keur Madiop Bassine. For the past several years, a lady was financing the masjid until she was no longer able to. The masjid remains unfinished. The masjid is in need of more cement, tile, paint as well as contractors and builders to complete the finishings. We are fundraising in order to finish building the masjid before Ramadan 2023.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.” [Muslim]

This will allow the community a place of sanctuary to hold congregational taraweh prayer, conduct daily prayer, provide educational services, and other acts of ibadah. The rewards of building a masjid are plentiful, including:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” [Bukhari]

Let’s power the village with a worship place, a masjid for the sake of Allah (SWT) and providing a great need for our Brothers and Sisters in Senegal!

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]

As-Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Mes chers Frères et Sœurs en Islam, Je viens humblement partager avec vous le projet d'une vie: Dans une petite région défavorisée de Saint-Louis, au Sénégal, se trouve le village de Keur Madiop Bassine. Depuis plusieurs années, une dame finançait la construction d une mosquée jusqu'à ce qu'elle n'en soit plus capable. La mosquée est donc restée inachevée. La mosquée a besoin de plus de ciment, de carrelage, de peinture ainsi que d'entrepreneurs et de constructeurs pour terminer les finitions. Nous collectons des fonds afin de terminer la construction du masjid avant le Ramadan 2023.

Le Prophète Muhammad (ﷺ) a dit : « Quiconque soulage les difficultés d'un croyant dans ce monde, Allah soulagera ses difficultés le Jour de la Résurrection. Quiconque aide à soulager quelqu'un en difficulté, Allah lui facilitera la tâche dans ce monde et dans l'au-delà. » [Muslim]

Cette collecte de fonds permettra à la communauté d'avoir un lieu de sanctuaire pour organiser la prière taraweh de la congrégation, mener les prières quotidiennes, fournir des services éducatifs, préparer les défunts et leur bains rictuels, et d'autres actes d'ibadah. Les récompenses de la construction d'un masjid sont nombreuses, notamment :

Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit: "Quiconque construit une mosquée, désirant ainsi l'agrément d'Allah, Allah lui construit une semblable au paradis." [Boukhari]

Bénissons le village d’ un lieu de culte, un masjid pour l'amour d'Allah (SWT) et répondons au grand besoin de nos frères et sœurs du Sénégal !

Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit: "Quand un homme meurt, ses actions prennent fin sauf pour trois choses: Sadaqah Jariyah (la charité continue), la connaissance qui est bénéfique, ou un descendant vertueux qui prie pour lui" [Muslim]
