Fund the Levi family in memory of Dr. Daniel Levi
Daniel Levi, aged 34, was a devoted father to Emma and Liam and a loving husband to Lihi. He was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where he formed deep bonds with childhood friends who remember him as a loyal, easygoing, and big-hearted friend. Daniel had an infectious smile and was always the first to lend a helping hand in times of need. His immense talent shone through in everything he pursued, and he took great pride in his Jewish heritage.
Following his medical school training, Daniel embarked on a journey to Israel by himself, the country he held dear to his heart. He served in the military as a physician and was recruited into the Otolaryngology program at Soroka Medical Center. It was in Israel that he met the love of his life, Lihi, with whom he welcomed two precious treasures into the world. Determined to provide the best possible upbringing for his family, they made the courageous decision to move to Kibbutz Beeri in the pastoral Otef Aza region approximately nine months ago.
Despite the daily commute and apparent risks, Daniel was unwavering in his pursuit of a better life for his close-knit family. They integrated seamlessly into the Kibbutz community, made new friends, and cherished every moment of their life there.
Tragically, on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, during the onset of the Hamas attack, Daniel received word of a potential infiltration and immediately rushed to the infirmary to care for the wounded. He displayed extraordinary courage in the face of this evil act of terrorism, tending to the injured while bravely confronting the threat. A survivor vividly remembers Daniel's final hours, during which he remained as composed as ever, just like when he treated critically ill patients in his daily practice. Daniel was taken from this world unjustly and prematurely, leaving behind a void in the hearts of his wife, two children, and many others who were touched by his kindness and dedication.
In his memory, we have set up this GoFundMe page to provide support for Daniel's grieving family during this challenging time. Your generous contributions will help ease the financial burden they now face, and it's a fitting tribute to the angel who has returned to the heavens. Thank you for honoring Daniel's memory and extending your support to his loved ones.
