WOC+Lib is a place for WOC and POC to express innovative ideas, transformative work, commentary, critiques, personal experiences, original research, and other professional literature.
In honor of our second anniversary we are launching our It Takes Two Fundraising Campaign to finance our professional, technological, and organizational expansion.
Help us grow to new heights and together we will transform the information industry!
Here are a few testimonials from folks who have worked with us:
Working with WOC+Lib was easy, refreshing, and empowering. Due to this amazing and critical platform, I was able to share my story on residencies/fellowships with many folks, which gave me greater confidence in my writing, but in knowing that I have stories to tell and a platform willing to share them. I am looking forward to the very bright future ahead of WOC+Lib. - Twanna Hodge
Having WOC+LIB as a digital safe space and platform for librarians of color is greatly needed and appreciated. As a proud Latina librarian, I try to share my experiences and promote the need for more multilingual Latinx librarians in the field. We cannot possibly hope to serve all of our rapidly changing communities if we do not have the staff and resources to meet their needs. WOC+LIB offers the tools, resources, and voices to move forward in creating vibrant and diverse library spaces for all. - Christina Ramirez
Having a space to write for and about Women of Color library workers is so special, and I am always excited to read WOC+Lib content. The WOC+Lib editorial team is also very helpful and communicative, and I have felt very supported through the whole writing process, from submitting to editing. - Alyssa Jocson Porter
This platform provided me a safe, non judgmental space to write what was on my heart while at work in the library, as a woman of color. I had no prior published work, and no interest in heavy academic research at the moment. WOC+Lib gave me the perfect opportunity to include my voice in a space that is oftentimes hard to navigate and break into. Thank you so much! - April Moyo
