Fund Xiaohui Chen’s air ambulance home
Donation protected
My name is Wei Chen and I’m trying to raise funds to bring my dad, Xiaohui Chen, home from a U.S. hospital to his hometown in China via an international air ambulance.
My dad and mom were visiting their grandchildren in New Orleans after five long years apart when he had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors found a sizable brain tumor and did emergency surgery on May 24th.
He was doing so much better — talking about wanting a steak and Coca-Cola and singing old Russian folk songs. Then there were complications and two more surgeries.
We thought we were about to lose him but he fought and God led him back to us. My dad is able to open his eyes now and is at minimally consious state, the doctors don’t know if he will ever be fully awake.
My parents are Chinese citizens and are on tourism visas. They need to return home so he can get long term care in his hometown of Beijing and have the support of friends and family there.
He’s connected to life support and on a ventilator so the only option is to use an international air ambulance, but it’s extremely expensive.
With your donation, you can help Xiaohui fly home where he can have a chance to live.
