Fund Zion's Journey to Golf Greatness

Hello! My name is Gosheng and I’m a golf mom. My husband, Blake, grew up golfing in tournaments as a teenager and that really shaped him to be the man he is today. We have been blessed with two boys. Our oldest son is 8 years old and his dream is to be a professional golfer. His name is Zion Benjamin.

We bought Zion his very first plastic set when he was three years old. At that time, we lived in an apartment on a links golf course and spent our weekends fishing and golfing. When Zion turned four, we moved near Top Golf and we would spend our weekends just swinging and having fun there. That’s when Zion’s natural golf swing really developed.

When Zion was six years old, we discovered the U.S. Kids Golf tournaments here in Tulsa, OK. We signed him up for the spring season and for his very first tournament, he shot a 54. Eager to get better, Zion spent all his free time practicing. That same summer, Zion made his first hole in one!

At age seven, Zion won the U.S. Kids Golf Oklahoma State Invitational. The first day of the tournament, he shot a 41. On the second day, he birdied four of the last five holes to shoot even par 36 and received his 1st place trophy.

For the 2025 schedule, Zion will play in three different tours: U.S. Kids Golf, Under Armor Junior Golf Tour and South Central PGA Junior Tour.

As his parents, we have tried to provide Zion with every opportunity to help develop his natural ability and potential. This includes continual upgrades on all of the equipment and golf tournaments. He has yet to receive golf lessons but at this time, it’s all been him and his God given natural talent. We would love to be able to provide him with one on one golf lessons in the future.

Zion continues to get invited to state tournaments and continues to qualify for the World Championship tournaments. We have remained local due to financial reasons. Zion dreams to compete against the best junior golfers in the world and we would love for him to experience this.
