Funding David Summers' Last Journey

Raising money for the cost of my brother, David Summers, funeral.

David Alton Summers, 49, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He is survived by his father: Ricky Nelson; 2 brothers: Steven Summers, Judd Nelson; 1 sister: Amanda Nelson. The family will have a Time of Reflection for Mr. Summers on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the chapel at Talladega Funeral Home.

David was loved by so many. He will be missed by them all.

David's sense of humor was only one of his best personality traits. He loved to make people laugh. He would help anyone that needed it. His last act of selflessness was donating his organs. He gave life to a person in Birmingham with his liver, and heart and lungs to 2 people in Georgia.

His love, only second to his family, was music, and he was a natural talent. He taught himself to play many instruments, and loved to teach others as well. He did karaoke gigs, hosted band battles, did DJ for many events, and played in several bands.
