Funding for Alicia's Family in Difficult Times

My name is Ronke Kirk, the husband of Alicia A. Smith-Kirk. Alicia was a great mother and matriarch of the Kirk family when it came to education, dance, and the social welfare of spiritual beliefs in and outside the home. She is the Co-Founder of MOVE It. Dance Project, which taught children Cecchetti ballet, tap, dance, and acro dance, was certified by Cirque du Soleil. She was a District Director in Ohio for Toastmasters, supporting growth through counsel and direction to help members and clubs by providing a platform for learning opportunities in public speaking and leadership skills. Alicia took a further step by providing the same education to children with the “Gavel Club,” which is a Toastmasters program for children. She was an Ordained Minister teaching love in ministry through supporting each individual person's journey in spirituality and theology from Christian traditions.

Alicia was born in Michigan and settled down in Ohio, passing away on 26 May 2024, mid-afternoon. She leaves behind her three daughters from my previous marriage, who are Jada, Aiyana, and Shakeema, whom she devotedly cared for and nurtured to become future pillars in the community. We are requesting financial support as we did not have the means due to bereavement services and high medical bill expenditures to assist in her battle with Stage 4 cancer.

There will be two bereavement services for the following loss of Alicia. I, Ronke, will be assisting the organization of the first service, which will be held in Berea, Ohio, at People’s Community Church (our family's church home) on 22 June @ 1 pm for our friends and family in the area, especially members of Move It. Dance Project and Toastmasters. Angela (Alicia’s Sister, and Gwen Smith (Alicia’s Mother) will be organizing the second location, which will be in Bay City, Michigan, at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church on 29 June for our friends and family in the area. To answer a question neither I nor Alicia were able to attain life insurance due to our medical conditions.
