Funding for my daughters education

"Hi Facebook friends and their friends of friends,

I like you to meet my daughter, Emily.

She is 14 years old and she is beautiful. Right now, she would love to be a veterinarian or work with animals in some capacity. Like many girls her age, she loves arts and crafts, love to apply makeup, make beaded bracelets and she loves to sing. Sounds pretty typical, right? Unfortunately, Emily suffers from significant learning issues (possibly related to Autism). She has also been recently diagnosed with a form of epilepsy. Even though she has qualified for the public school’s special ed program, there has been no success. She has been bullied, ignored, and now refuses to attend school at all. We have tried public school, charter schools and home schooling to no avail I am desperate to save my daughter. and I am scared. I am not exaggerating as there may not be much future for a young woman with a sixth grade education.

Here’s the reason I must ask.I am a single mom who cleans other peoples' houses for a living and receive no other support Recently, I was made aware of a special private school (not a charter) for kids just like Emily. It is called Pathways. The school is part of a larger mental health umbrella in Arizona. They also have schools in the Phoenix area. Emily got to spend a day to see if she liked it and it was clearly to a match made in heaven. I was so happy because this was a first.

Here’s the bottom line. The tuition for this school year is $27,000. I will be applying for scholarships as I become aware of them . If we receive an autism diagnosis, it would explain so much and I may even be able to receive some help from medical insurance. But this all takes time. I need $500.00 just to hold her place for the 23-24 school year. Hopefully, this school year will give us the chance to acquire some financial aid, but until then, we must pay it. Please help me help my EMILY receive an education. She’s a good girl and she deserves this chance. Anything will help. I will keep you posted of our progress.
