Funding for NJ families in need - Christmas 2024

What We've Done

2024 is our TENTH YEAR running Project Christmas NJ & we've provided help at the holidays for 867 kids and their families!

Giving local NJ residents & their family and household members everything they need during the holidays:

We've been serving South Jersey families who need us since 2015 - playing Santa by collecting gently used and new items from families who have them; and matching those items to the families - even during Covid - we never stopped making sure that families had wonderful holidays.

Our 2024 Holiday Plans

This year - our goal is the same- but we're doing something a little different. Instead of just accepting applications, we started early this year - seeking out families through facebook, area churches and schools, and families that were referred to us by others. We've already approved 8 families for help and we'll be looking to sponsor 8-10 more in the leadup to Christmas. We have to keep things a bit smaller this year while we regroup after some major challenges last year. (You can read more about it here:

Over the years- especially during Covid - our lack of volunteer help meant that we were often unable to fully clear out our storage, and most of what was given to baby's were the newest donations we received. But we have YEARS worth of back log - that all could be going to famous who need it.

So this year- we intend to rent a space (or spaces)- and to load up trucks, to move everyone we have (and everything that's newly donated) to the new space - so that we can invite families to come "shop" (entirely for free - the amount being based on each family's needs) - so that we can help as MANY families as necessary- while clearing out our overly full storage spaces so that we can be more efficient and organized going into 2024.

What We'll Be Using Your Donations For

We have ZERO paid staff, and 100% of all funds go DIRECTLY to helping us help families across our area.

This year - we are hoping to raise about $3000 to be able to fully sponsor approximately 20 families and to assist dozens more with case-by-case needs.

As always - we want to help as many families as possible

The sooner we meet our donation goals - the MORE families can breathe a sigh of relief.

All funds will go towards helping us to purchase and provide NEW wish list items for families who need them. From coats, to electronics - to furniture and household items, as well as the newest Toys & Games - each year we aim to add to the items which are physically donated to us, by purchasing BRAND NEW items that help us fulfill wish lists for the children (18 & under, as well as those with significant / intellectual disabilities under age 21).

Our ULTIMATE goal would be to raise $3000 - $3800 to fulfill the wish lists of all the children who's families we are able to help this year; the more we raise, the more families who will have a wonderful Christmas.

Remember; not ONE person receives a single penny or ANY benefits working for Project Christmas. We have ZERO PAID STAFF - We fund all of our collection & operational costs via our family and we volunteer because we WANT TO HELP.
