Funding for Simunye High School Service Trip

Hi, my name is Alex. I am excited to support an important service trip to help South African children during an unprecedentedly hard time. Our school group will work on the following things while we are there:

Build and paint community and school structures

Build and fix community gardens and water pumps

Give our time to help donate food

Help children who are in difficult situations

Donate clothing to children in need

Help at an orphanage

The reason this fundraising school trip is important to me is because I myself am a child that was raised in an orphanage. I was born in Russia, near Vladivostok, and lived in an orphanage until I was almost two years old. I was given the opportunity to live a full and happy life by being adopted by a family from America, and I would like to give back to other children who aren't able to have the same opportunities as I have had.

If you are able to give even a few dollars to this special school event, it would enable me to pay for my portion of the trip costs like airfare, bus travel, and hotel. I will also be working a job during my school break to earn money towards this goal.
