Rising from the ashes

Hello, My name is Jay I live with my mother, brother and grandmother and it has been a rough few year since the my house burned down along with my hopes and dreams and my life has been on a downward spiral along with my faith in people as they took advantage of my loss while I was at my lowest . I lost my job, school, friends everything. I am slowly picking up the pieces from the embers of the ashes of who I once was. The summary of the incident is this after the house was burned I hired a contractor who stole the deposit of 80,000$ and when I confronted the individual he lied and said it was for the repairs and that work was starting soon. A year later he passed away at a bar in south Sacramento due to a shooting. So my deposit as well as the repairs to the house went up in smokes and I cannot pursue the deposit back even through legal means as the person is deceased. I am doing the best and in all my efforts to pay another contractor to repair my house. The Funds will go towards repairs on the house. What this fundraiser means to me is to reclaim what little control I have over my life back and restarting anew.
