Funding my transition to help with my dysphoria

Hello,

My name is Lucy Alice Garrett,

I am transgender and have surfed from server anxiety and depression for over ten years I’m currently In transition and under-going HRT with the NHS in Norfolk, also making amazing progress with my mental health with the support so far I have been so lucky to receive, i recently discovered that body hair removal is NOT funded by the NHS as part of my treatment.

there are parts on my body my chest and breast area hands and stomach back and lower that given me great disposition with my dysphoria in finding out that it is not covered by NHS England and I have been suffering with mental health issues for a while in witch my income is not anywhere near to being able to afford the full body treatment I would need to help treat my dysphoria and under going gender transition. 

 

i m hoping to raise awareness of how important it is in male to female transition is, as to witch this is what would really ease the discomfort anxiety and depression that this will, has and ongoing  causes it has.

I’m grateful for the NHS and I do feel firmly this should be part of the process and funding but however is NOT, I’m hoping to raise the funds needed to help ease my mental heath issue that transition has caused after discussing with my doctors and psychiatrist as I know now this is my greatest fear in witch i face the to be able to raise income support with this issue.

 

any help would be so greatly received in my journey and I hope to connect and spread the word that and bring this more to the attention needed to this being a big part of the funding in the future.
