Funding The Fencing Booth To Life
Donation protected
This is a call to arms. The Fencing Booth at the Minnesota Renaissance Fesitval is in need of a little help. For personal reasons beyond anyone's control, the current owner of The Fencing Booth has decided it was time to step away from ownership and sell. With your support, we are hoping we can save this beloved trasure that many of us over the years have come to call home.
The Fencing Booth has been a proud part of the Minnesota Renaissance Fesitval for 50 years. It was started as a fundraiser for the University of Minnesota Fencing Club until 2004 when a team of new owners turned it into a fundraiser supporting local Children's Charities. Helping many local charities, this booth and all of its volunteers have worked proudly to continue those causes and reach our goals.
What we, Josh and Meredith, are asking for help with is the funds to purchase The Fencing Booth itself, along with some addition funds to help purchase some much needed new equipment like blades, gloves, hoods, jackets, and other necessary items. We estimate the total to be in the neighborhood of $7000.
Of course, as always, any money above and beyond that goal will be donated to a local Children's Charity (to be announced at a later time).
As a small token of our appreciation for you support, each person who donated will have their names added to a plaque which will be displayed on the booth, immortalizing their support for our cause and giving each patron who visits our booth a way to see how deep the Fencing Booth Family runs.
