Funding the Final Year of My Master's Degree

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today with a heartfelt request and an opportunity that means the world to me. As many of you know, I have been pursuing my Master's degree in Computer Science in Computing Intelligence at the prestigious University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). I am incredibly passionate about this field, and I have dedicated countless hours to my studies, research, and personal growth.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and financial challenges, I find myself at a crossroads. When I received the news in December 2020 that I had received a full Sino-American Chinese Government Scholarship to study at such an amazing school, it was the best news I had ever received. I was ecstatic. However, one month later Covid arrived and borders closed worldwide. Steady progress toward completing my program has been made, but now that the borders are open, my scholarship has regrettably expired after its two-year validity has elapsed. I must travel to campus and complete my program to secure my graduation.

I have completed all but one of my classes, and I am now faced with the critical task of returning to China to complete my thesis and graduate. The funds raised will be utilized to cover various expenses, including tuition, accommodation, and daily necessities such as board and food. The thought of not being able to return to campus, immerse myself in my program, and dedicate the necessary time and focus to complete my degree is truly disheartening. It would mean that all my hard work and progress could be in vain.

UESTC, a globally renowned institution, is ranked #8 worldwide in Artificial Intelligence according to USNews. This incredible opportunity to study in such an esteemed environment has allowed me to acquire invaluable knowledge, skills, and connections within the tech industry. By returning to China, I not only aim to complete my thesis but also intend to network and establish connections that will prove invaluable for my future career aspirations.

In light of these circumstances, I am humbly reaching out to each and every one of you, as I believe that with your support, I can overcome this hurdle and achieve my dreams.
