On May 27, 2021 at 1pm, there will be a panel with three experts on Palestinian Liberation, the dangerous conflation of Anti-Semitism with Anti-Zionism and BDS.
The historical and contemporary situation in Palestine and Israel needs to be centered and a number of students have expressed an interest in inviting experts to campus to educate our community on the varied perspectives regarding this struggle. Given Lesley University’s commitment to social justice and our mandate to prepare our graduates to participate in the cultural, political, and economic life of our community, nation, and the world we believe it is imperative to create spaces on these topics that encourage scholarship, freedom of expression, and the open exchange of ideas regarding Palestinian Liberation.
We are hoping to use this funding to compensate the panelists.
