Hey! My name is William Wallis as most of you know! I am a music Ed major at the University of North Alabama. I play in most bands here as I attend Wind ensemble, symphonic band, jazz band 2, and low brass ensemble. I do not own my own horn as I use the schools which comes with it’s own downsides. Most people own their own instruments when majoring in music! And most people have a lot of help when purchasing an Instrument as they can be expensive.
Info about the horn: Wessex is a brand of horn that is owned by a British man by the name of Jonathan Hodgetts. This instrument series is called “Euphonium ‘Sinfonico’ - EP600 HP” which means it is a handcrafted horn but it is much cheaper than most popular models. At a price point of $3,350 (not including shipping, protection, and tax) it is a very affordable option.
This would go a long way to help me purchase a euphonium that I can use for the rest of my life as I am 100% sure I will be playing for that long. I want to be the best I can be so I can inspire as many people as possible.
I am choosing to fundraise for a cheaper option that still is amazing! I love playing Euphonium and want to bring this wonderful instrument to more people in the world as many people have never heard of it! It is a lovely horn and any bit someone can help is more than enough! Thank you all so much! I would love to do a performance to show my appreciation when I eventually get the horn! :) it would be the least I could do!
