Funding Urgent Cat Rescue Expenses

Donation protected
A little over two weeks ago, I went to a high-kill shelter to adopt a cat on the euthanasia list. Since I was going to be at the shelter, I reached out to a networking organization that helps connect fosters with rescues - I offered to transport a small, black momma cat and her 3 kittens to a rescue that had previously shown interest. The shelter was two hours away from me....and I would be arriving at 1:45 pm - the last time to secure a cat before euthanasia was 2:00 pm! I found out shortly before I arrived that the momma and her kittens could not be pulled because they had no foster. I was there RIGHT before her deadline...nobody was coming for her, she had no last minute Hail Mary save. I took her and the babies to foster, including the euth-listed cat that I had gone there for. Within 48 hrs. of being out of the shelter, she was taken to a primary vet for being sick and then rushed to ER. She had an infection that had clearly been brewing at the shelter and had blown into a critical care situation. Her kittens had to be taken away from her to receive care...in which they have all since died due to the limited milk she was producing because of her illness. I am now left with a $7,000 bill for trying to help this momma and her kittens. Any help you could give would be appreciated. ❤️
