fundraise for crew van to aid our foodbank project.

Impact-Now works in partnership with other community and youth organisations and is also a member of the Food Aid Alliance in Northamptonshire. Central to the effectiveness of our foodbank and food aid support project is transport, which enables us both to collect food for the food bank and then to distribute food parcels to those in need in Northampton and the surrounding area and to the pop-up shop we run. We currently have no vehicle and are therefore reliant on private cars owned by staff and

volunteers. This is an unsatisfactory arrangement for 2 reasons:

● The private vehicles are unsuitable in design and insufficiently large for transporting

copious quantities of food and the team needed to distribute the food supplies

● The car owners require their vehicles for their own business and private use, which inevitably means that cars are not always available when food supplies are needed.

We are therefore raising funds to purchase a new 6-seater crew van, which will cost us

£20,000. This vehicle will increase the flexibility and effectiveness of our foodbank and food

support service, enabling our team to deliver food when and where our beneficiaries

need it. When purchased, we will finance the running of the crew van out of our annual

budget.

We have already secured 2,600 towards this target, and we very much hope that your Trustees

will consider making Impact-Now a grant towards the £17,400 we still need to raise.
