Fundraiser for 40 Afghan Refugee Families

EVERYONE deserves the right to live freely and without persecution.

My name is Alex Seojoon Kim, and I am the founder/president of SRAF, or the Stillwater Refugee Aid Foundation. Recently, news broke out throughout the state of Oklahoma that 40 Afghan families will be relocated to our hometown of Stillwater. These brave Afghan refugees fled from their homeland, and risked their lives to escape one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the 21st century.

They will now tackle the challenge of living in a foreign nation, nearly 7,500 miles from their former place of residence. They will have to learn a new language, complete new customs, and experience many changes in our nation renowned for its global democracy.

It isn't right for these wonderful people to suffer and not be eligible for the "inalienable rights" that our country so beautifully has created. We must give these refugees a chance to live with the hope of truly living a life of great prosperity and peace.

We need your help. Every penny of the $24,000 dollars raised will go toward basic necessities for the refugees via local grocery stores. Please support our efforts of making these Afghan refugees feel loved, cherished, and most of all, welcome.
