Richard Campbell Family

On October 21, 2019 Richard Campbell suffered a massive heart attack. He was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica, NY where it was determined his heart had massive damage and his best chance of survival would be a transfer to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was transferred via helicopter on October 22, 2019. He has been in the ICU at Strong on life support. He has his own nurse 24/7. Several amazing machines have been used to keep him alive. He has been on a ventilator to keep him breathing, an Ecmo to pump blood throughout his body, an Impala to pump blood throughout his heart, he has a feeding tube and several IV medicines.  He has made some significant strides since he arrived at Strong. He has also had some setbacks. He had a LVAD (Left Ventricle Assisted Device) inserted on Friday, which allows him to be off the heart machines. The doctors are hopeful this device will prolong his life and allow him to return home at some point after recovery. He has been off and on the ventilator, and as of today (November 3) had to be put back on due to some heart issues that sometimes happen after the LVAD is inserted. It will no doubt be a long road but Richard has shown amazing strength and will to survive. There is no time frame as to when Richard may be able to return home, but it will likely be several more weeks, possibly longer. 
His wife Pam, and daughter Nicole, have been commuting back and forth from their homes 2 hours away to the hospital in Rochester. They have been staying in hotels near the hospital. As one would imagine, the hotel, gas, tolls, and food expenses add up quickly.
Although the medical bills will be astronomical, it is the added stress of the day to day expenses that we would like to relieve Pam and Nicole of.  Please help support this family  by continuing prayers and giving if you can.
