Fundraiser for a family of 16 after the loss of our father

I am Jihan, a Palestinian dentist from Gaza. My family and I lived in northern Gaza and our life was very wonderful. My father worked in the insurance for 30 years and was a businessman in many other fields. He worked hard all his life to provide us with a comfortable life. I, my mother, my sisters and my brothers are all well-educated. We are engineers, doctors and dentists.

My father worked hard day and night to build us a beautiful and a warm house. My mother, who had a master's degree in history, also had her own business. My older sister, who has a degree in mathematics and has three children, had a children's clothing store that used to be successful. It was her dream since she was young and she achieved her dream after a long struggle. My second sister has a degree in interior design and has two children. She worked as a wedding planner. My husband, my brother, and I all have dental degrees, and we took our first steps in establishing our own clinic, and we had many plans... Our life before the war was beautiful and peaceful, and each of us had their own life.

Our lives have now turned upside-down. We were all displaced from our homes to my parents' house, where it was safer. We were displaced for a second time to our friends' house without taking anything with us, just the clothes we had on. We left everything behind hoping to come back a couple of days later. Then for the third time, we all displaced from north to south, to a shelter. We stayed there for about four months. It was a very dirty place, it did not have the minimum necessities of life, and more than 30,000 people were displaced to the same place.

Two months later, on December 9, my father was searching for food for his children and grandchildren when he was injured in the head as a result of shrapnel from the bombing in this place, which was supposed to be a safer area. The hospitals were overwhelmed and my father was not treated as needed and could not have the much-needed operation because the necessary medical tools were not available in hospitals. My father was in severe pain due to the lack of painkillers and had to wait a long time to receive treatment. My younger brother used to leave the shelter and put himself in danger in order to get the medicine my father needed and stay by his side in the hospital.

Unfortunately, my father lost his life after two months of suffering after we spent a significant amount of money to evacuate him out of Gaza. We were displaced for the fourth time without my father to Rafah in a very cold tent, and diseases were insanely widespread in that area. Our children were exposed to many psychological and health risks, and were deprived of education, well-being, and healthy food for 6 months. My mother now suffers from many health problems including a herniated disc in the neck and back that affect her movement and needs treatment,. My father's house, my brothers and sisters houses, my house, our cars, and everything we owned was lost, burned and stolen. We lost our jobs, our homes, and our father, may God have mercy on him.

This fund will be used to support all the abovementioned family members. We all have children and we need this money to be able to survive (Food, water, pampers, cloths, medicines and rent) and will also be used to provide a home during and after this war for everyone.
