Fundraiser for Ana Molnar battling DIPG
Donation protected
A couple of weeks ago, Ana was laughing and playing without a care in the world as all children her age do. She was celebrating her 4th birthday with her family and they had no idea that their life was about to be sent in an unexpected direction. We still refuse to believe the news.
Little Ana was just diagnosed with DIPG. This must be one of the most heartbreaking and devastating diagnosis any parent can ever receive. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPG) are highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumors. Medical advancements in the past 40 years have not greatly improved the survival rates for children with this diagnosis. There is still no effective treatment; only 10% of children with DIPG survive two years past their diagnosis and only 1% of children survive five years.
Like everyone else we know, we are all hoping and praying for a miracle. We are researching all possibilities and exploring all the paths that can bring a glimmer of hope for Ana. Each one of us can feel their pain. Each one of us knows that expenses should be the least of their worries. We want to help Ana’s family to be next to her without anything interfering with their love and care.
