Fundraiser for Carol's medical bills

Her story is surreal!  She had bloodwork in preparation for total shoulder replacement surgery and they found that she had a very low white blood cell count.  After retesting, and a visit with a hematologist, she was referred to Thomas Jefferson Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  This is a very serious condition, for which she has been treated with extremely toxic chemotherapy and is now awaiting a bone marrow transplant.  
Needless to say, this is a very traumatic experience and she is fighting for her life!  In addition to the anxiety about having this disease, Carol is overwhelmed with the anticipated medical bills that will not be covered by Medicare.
