Fundraiser for Catholic Mothers Conference 2020!
The next Catholic Mothers conference is fast approaching. Hosted by the Catholic Mothers Apostolate and taking place in the beautiful and historic Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, the conference aims to present inspirational and uplifting speakers as well as time for fellowship and sharing in the joys and challenges of living out our lives as Catholic Women, Wives and Mothers.
As you can imagine, this is a big undertaking and there are many costs involved. In order to have a ticket price that makes the conference accessible to as many Mothers as possible, not all the conference costs are included. We are asking for your help to make this conference a moment of beauty, rest and learning for all those who attend, enabling them to take what they have gained back to their families.
Below are the costs we are faced with and, if you read on, there is a brief description of what it is the charity aims to offer;
>Speakers Fees & Expenses £3500
> Crèche & Staff £1500
> Subsidised places for Mothers in need £1600
> Additional Expenses (to include flowers for the event, a coach for anyone unable to get there and back and anything unforeseen) £2000
Our target is set at £10,000 and we really hope and pray we can make this amount! If any of the money from this fundraiser is not used for the conference, this will be used in the same way for future events. Please help us reach this goal
Brief description of our aims as a newly registered charity
Catholic Mothers Apostolate is a newly registered charity. Our aim is to support Mothers to discover and deepen their Catholic faith. At present this takes the shape of a group of mothers meeting in their parish weekly to learn more about Church teaching, history, and the spiritual gifts related to it especially in the context of the family. We do this using carefully selected resources, such as the Endow courses, to make the treasures of the teaching of the Church more accessible to our own lives.
We put on talks, events, workshops and courses on a variety of subjects, from Eucharistic adoration for children, to cooking for an army with style. We aim to equip women with skills, both practical and spiritual, to enhance and compliment their God-given motherly talents.
We also aim to help families who are in need, providing practical and spiritual support. For example, we recently supported a Mother who found she was expecting quadruplets, while already having three children. The Catholic Mothers Apostolate local group were keen to help, and spread the word to others in the local Christian community that there was a Mother who might need some help. An amazing outpouring of love and support, prayer and hot dinners from other Mothers ensued, and this is just one way that this Apostolate has already been able to carry out its mission.
We would love to be able to continue to offer help to others. Whether it be practical help for families who experience difficulties, or support for Mothers to attend the courses, events and conferences we present, your help is invaluable in enabling us to continue.
If you would like to donate to the charity regularly or as one off in order to further help with our mission then please visit our PayPal giving site which passes on 100% of the donated amount.
