We are starting this GoFundMe in honour of our dear friend Delahvae who recently passed away in mid June. The purpose is to raise funds for her beloved child and family. Her son Truman has a degenerative mitochondrial disease and requires extensive medical care. On top of this, her family will be taking on expenses for daycare and other things in the near future. All funds will go to her family.
Delahvae was a bright, hilarious, quirky, beautiful, and supportive woman, as well as a loving daughter, sister, mother, and member of her communities. Delahvae was a member of the Gayogoho:no (Cayuga) from the Six Nations of the Grand River. She always aspired to help her community and had big plans for the future. She enriched our lives and we are very lucky to have been a part of hers.
