Fundraiser for Diana Aguirre and her family
Donation protected
Most of our friends and family know the story of Diana and her amazing family.
Diana, a 50-year-old loving wife of Eddie for 33 years and mother of 2 adorable young children, Mia 12 and Sammy, 10 is tender-hearted but a very strong and resilient woman. Our amazing and strong friend, Diana, is fighting a battle that no young mother of two should have to fight - the fight against diabetes and kidney failure.
Twenty years ago, Diana was diagnosed with diabetes, and over that time, diabetes has progressively worsened to the point that her kidneys are no longer working. For the last few years, she has had to perform dialysis daily which takes several hours a day, and most of the time, it’s performed at night. She has been in and out of the hospital for the last few years and has been on the kidney transplant list for the last five years but has yet to find a match.
Diana and her husband Eddie are faithfully devoted to their community and parish and have been assisting couples to flourish in their relationship. They have become Godparents for many couples.
Eddie works for the United States Postal Service and is also a member of the Knight of Columbus, serving his community through service and charities.
Recently, it appeared a match was found for Diana’s kidney transplant, but her health deteriorated due to multiple complications and infections, and the transplant could not be performed. She just spent over three weeks at the Loma Linda hospital in Murrieta, California, recovering from a dire situation that has left her bed-ridden and prompted significant changes to their entire life. In the last few months, this illness has transformed her body, not her heart and soul. Despite all of these, she continues to smile and laugh, as this has always been one of her traits.
They have made the difficult decision to relocate to her parent’s house, where her parents and family can assist in taking care of her and the children. The children will be attending new schools, and Eddie is waiting for the opportunity to relocate from his job. In the meantime, he will have to drive 90 miles from Hemet to South Gate to visit his wife and children.
Diana faces a lengthy recovery period while waiting for a much-needed kidney.
We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of her family, especially her husband Eddie, who is taking time off work to care for her and their children. Over the following days, weeks, and months ahead, they will need to be at countless doctor appointments, hospital stays and possible surgeries. As you can imagine, the average costs of everyday living...such as rent, food, gas, car, etc... medical costs, can be astronomical.
Along with your prayers for Diana and her family, we graciously ask you to consider making a financial donation to help the family get through this tough period of recovery. Some people may feel embarrassed making a small donation, so it’s important to emphasize that donations of any amount are welcome. Every contribution will help support her and her family.
As you can see, the Aguirres are a very kind, generous, and giving family and can use some help. To know more about the Aguirres, please see their Facebook page: Diana Aguirre and Family
