Fundraiser for Gianni Vazquez

I write to you today with a heartfelt plea for support on behalf of my friend, coach, and teammate, Gianni Vazquez. Gianni grew up in Mexico with the dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter for the UFC. If you guys tuned in to the last fight that Gianni fought, you know the unfortunate events that happened because of the poor judgement of a referee. Because of a referee's mistake, Gianni is facing serious medical problems and the consquences that come with being injured as a fighter. As a fighter, it is common for injuries to occur, but the injuries that Gianni is facing is not due to a fight but instead bad decision-making from a referee and a commission that refuses to take responsibility for their actions. Gianni's primary source of income is fighting and teaching others martial arts. He is a loved coach and teammate and because of this incident, he was not able to train or work for 7 weeks. With the unknown of a potiential case with the Texas state commission, Gianni is facing financial burden and needs support with medical bills that is not covered by insurance. Beyond his role as a fighter, Gianni is also a highly respected individual known for his dedication, hardwork, and integrity.
