Fundraiser for Jacob SHIPWRECK Shipman

 

Apparently, when Jacob wrecked, he hit the pavement head first, fracturing his skull from the top of his head all the way down past the temporal lobe. There's a hematoma on the left side of his brain, which is the side that hit first and there's a chance that he will have hearing loss in his left ear. 

 

The impact shoved Jacob's brain to the right, where he now has a brain bleed. His lungs are both bruised along with several broken ribs caused by the accident. Jacob was also, recently diagnosed with COPD so breathing is an issue as well. 

 

At this time, Jacob is in the ICU in Paris, TX, where he is intubated and sedated. To prevent any further damage, they need to keep him calm as well as keeping pressure off of his brain. 

 

They have begun to cut back on his sedation periodically. He's currently on 70% oxygen and his numbers are good (heart rate, respiration, blood pressure). As of right now, due to covid restrictions, PRMC is not allowing any visitors.

 

Jacob has a long, hard road ahead of him, but every person that has ever met him knows with his strength, personality, and positivity he can overcome this.
