Fundraiser for Jay Restifo

Dear Friends and Family,
I would like to introduce you to my friend Jay Restifo. I met Jay over ten years ago while attending Cardiac Sonographer School and also had the privilege of working with him for four years. Jay is married to the love of his life Crystal and has two adorable children, Alex, who is a very busy 1 ½ year old and Natalia a hysterically funny four year old. I really don’t know how Crystal and Jay don’t have abs of steel from laughing at the constant comedy routine that comes from that child. Over a month ago Jay was diagnosed with Low Grade Neuroendocrine Lung Carcinoid. It is a rare form of lung cancer. With Jay being young and a nonsmoker we were all shocked. Over the summer Jay accepted a position with another facility, unfortunately he is not eligible for sick time or short term disability benefits. Jay not being able to work is putting a financial strain on his family. He had surgery this week to remove his right lung and is now home healing. His follow up treatment will be determined when the pathology comes back. I don’t think Jay realizes how much he helped me over five years ago by opening the door for me at my present job. At this time I’m asking you to pay it forward so I can help pay it back to my friend. Thank you, Cindy
