Fundraiser for John Ellis

This started back in August of 2017. John was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a very rare type of cancer. Through intense chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis John was in remission. He was in remission for one year. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned in his central nervous system. John will undergo 6 treatments of intrathecal chemotherapy into his spine. This will break the blood brain barrier to reach the cancer cells. Along with this he will be taking a daily drug to slow and/or interrupt the rapid dividing cells growth. John has been experiencing severe neurological symptoms that have interfered with his daily life. We are praying with this treatment he can achieve remission again and a possible Allo stem cell transplant. This is the only hope for a cure. 

John and Laurie have been married for 29 years. He has two children Bryce who is 22 and Carly is 21 who are both in college. John loves to stay active and play basketball at the Decatur Athletic Club. Along with spending time with our loved pet Lola and family. This would mean a lot to us if you decide to donate. The funds will help cover costs of hotels, treatments, traveling, food, insurance deductibles, and more. We are also in the making of T-shirts to help support John and his family.
