Fundraiser for John Henry Ihus

Donation protected
John Henry Ihus was born with a life threatening Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) on September 19, 2019 to Joseph and Nikki Ihus. CDH is a hole in the diaphragm that allows organs to come up in to the chest cavity, moves the heart over to the right side, and keeps the lungs from developing.

Children’s Mercy in Kansas City and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota both said they could not do anything to save this little guy. Dr. Kays at Johns Hopkins All Childrens in St. Petersburg, Florida, who is the best in the world for this condition, sees babies with CDH this severe all the time and saves them.  Nikki went to Johns Hopkins to deliver John Henry and the doctor there has given him a fighting chance.

John Henry will likely be in the NICU for at least four months and Nikki will not have any income after November when her short term disability runs out.

Joseph and Nikki could greatly use your financial support to help pay their bills and additional expenses and enable Nikki to focus on taking care of their son.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support! Please pray specifically for John Henry to remain stable and for his lungs to grow.
